It all started on August 7, 2017, at 10:41 p.m. I wrote my very first blog post. I was lying on my back, legs on the ground, with a laptop on my stomach. That was the only position I found comfortable. Just three months before, a life-threatening situation had affected my spinal cord, and I couldn't move like other people.
In that first post, I poured out everything which was nothing. I guess I was confused and high. I wrote,

My name is Grossi Gloria an Italy based Nigerian.
I will be sharing my world with you, and hopefully, this will turn out to be good.
To be frank, I don't know what I am doing, I will just give this my all.
I am positive that one day, I will be out here to share the story behind Classic9ija. Probably when she is 4 years old.

A Death-Cheater's Journey
My spinal cord injury took five years of my life. Five years of surgeries, rehabilitation, and fighting to get rid of an infection. For all that time, I was taken care of, nurtured, and pampered. But in the summer of 2023, I was over it.
Maybe it was coming off the medication, but I got this hunger for more. I was tired of being indoors and having no social life outside of my family and this blog. My reality in Italy didn't allow me to be independent, and I wanted to change that.
So I started. I enrolled in an Italian A1 language school, then moved on to the terza media, followed by teacher training (TEFL, CELTA, IHCYLT), and even driving school. This took me two years, and now it is 2025.
I Am Back
I'm opening this chapter of my life again. I'm a death-cheater and an almost thriving woman. I took Classic9ija down three years ago because I just wanted more. Now, I have more clarity.
I am back, and I am hungry to get back to writing, sharing, teaching, and guiding. We've even gone from classic9ija.online to classic9ija.com.
